| With the worldwide economic downturn it is no surprise
that there is a headcount freeze at public and private employers
alike and the pharmaceutical industry has already started to reduce
overheads and headcount.
With this in mind there is a continued demand from both the public
and private sector to maintain access to key skills and expertise
without increasing head count and to address this dichotomy, many
organisations are now calling on temporary assignments of workloads
and projects to outside contractors.

technology transfer offices looking to evaluate their home-grown
technologies with a view to decisions on patenting and licensing
valuations; and sometimes this is from institutional/venture capital
investors looking to carry out due diligence on some technology
offering.
